The Building Block bags pattern is a pieced block bag that can be made in 2 different sizes and shapes.  Both of these bags are completely reversible.  The larger bag measures 8" square by 17" high and the smaller bag measures 8" square by 8" high.

Materials Needed:

• Solid Block Larger Version: 1/4 yd each of 4 different coordinating print fabrics
• 1 yd of different coordinating print fabric for lining and handles
• 1 package of crib size cotton batting (45" x 60")
• Optional: 8" x 8" piece of plastic mesh or canvas for bottom of bag for stability.
• Materials Needed for Pieced Block Smaller Version: 1 yd of dark print fabric for blocks, lining, and handle
• 1/3 yd of coordinating light print fabric for block centers and handle
• 1 package of craft size cotton batting (34" x 45")
• 1 1/2" button (Two 1 1/2" buttons if you want to make it reversible)
• Optional: 8" x 8" piece of plastic mesh for stability for bottom of bag
• Materials Needed for Pieced Block Larger Version (not shown): 1 1/3 yd of dark print fabric for blocks, lining and handles
• 1/2 yd of coordinating light fabric for block centers and handles
• 1 package of crib size cotton batting (45" x 60")
• Materials Needed for Solid Block Smaller Version (not shown): 1/4 yd each of 3 different coordinating print fabrics
• 1/2 yd of different cooprdinating fabric for lining and handle
• 1 package of craft size cotton batting (34" x 45")
• 1 1/2" button (Two 1 1/2" buttons if you want your bag reversible)
