This Patchwork Purse Pattern makes a sweet little purse for a child or a great girlie handbag for women who like to carry smaller bags! You can use a purchased handle or make your own fabric handle and the bottom is gusseted to give more room. Finished size is 9" tall x 8 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" deep.
Materials Needed:
- Squares - Eight 5" squares (charms) of fabric in any combination of solids and prints.
- Ruffle - 1/4 yd of 45" or wider fabric
- Strap (optional) - 1/4 yd
- Lining - 1/3 yd
- Thin cotton quilt batting or fleece - 1/3 yd
- Magnetic snap closure
- Purchased handle (Optional) - handle set with small d-ring connections. The base needs to be no wider than 6".
- Bias Tape - (single fold - 1 pkg) - used for attaching purchased purse handle
- Interfacing - 1/4 yd (for cloth handles)
