Fun purse pattern where you actually learn how to color black and white prints to customize your own fabric to make your purse extra special! If you choose, you can also just skip the coloring and use a colorful print for your handbag.  This bag measures about 16" width x 9" tall x 5" deep.

Materials Needed:

• COLOR ME CRAZY BAG
• 1 yd 45" wide black cotton fabric
• 1/2 yd 45" wide large scale cotton black & white floral print fabric
• 3/4 yd 45" wide cotton striped fabric (stripes running parallel to selvage)
• 1/4 yd 45" wide small scale textured cotton prin fabric
• 1/4 yd 45" wide larger scale textured cotton print fabric
• Pentel Fabricfun Pastel Dye Sticks (preferred) or regular crayons
• REGULAR COLORFUL BAG
• 1/2 yd 45" wide large scale cotton floral print fabric
• 1 yd 45" wide cotton striped fabric (stripes running parallel to selvage)
• 1/2 yd 45" wide small scale cotton floral print fabric
• 5/8 yd 45" wide small scale textured cotton print fabric
• 3/8" grommer and appropriate setting tool
• Selection of coordinating beads (3-large beads and 6-medium beads) and coordinating sturdy thread or cord of a diameter that will fit the bead's holes.
• ADDITIONAL MATERIAL FOR BOTH BAGS
• 2/3 yd 36" or 45" wide muslin, or other scrap of light colored fabric 19" x 26" (will not show in completed bag)
• 1/2 yd 45" wide fusible fleece
• 1/4 yd Timtex or Peltex interfacing (stiff, board-like interfacing)
• 2 yd 16/32" cotton filler cording (as used for piping in upholstery)
• 2" hook & loop fastener (such as Velcro)
• Chalk or marking pencil
