Very comfortable hip hugger purse pattern - perfect for those day trips to the mall! This bag has 2 outside pockets and a handy pen pocket.
You will need:
- 1/2 yd medium weight fabric for purse front
- 3/4 yd. fabric for purse back (enough for 2 backs)
- - OR - 1 pair adult denim pants
- 1/2 yd. of 1 1/2" wide twill tape or canvas strapping (you may want to use double thickness if twill tape is thin - buy 1 yd.)
- 12" metal zipper (a longer zipper can be cut off or you can buy zippers by the inch)
- Two #36 (7/8") buttons to cover
- 7/8" white button for pocket closure
- Misc. scraps of wool felt for appliques
- Embroidery floss
- 2 1/2" yds. piping for denim purse (optional)
