The Drawstring Backpack pattern has strips of different color fabric and a secure drawstring top. Finished size is 12" x 14" x 3".
Materials Needed:
- Fabric scraps - total 1/2 yd
- Side and center strips - 1/8 yd
- Bottom - 4 1/2" x 13"
- Top cloth - 1/3 yd
- Binding (bias) - two, 2" x 27"
- Batting for the bag - 12 1/2" x 28"
- Batting for the bottom - 6 1/2" x 15"
- Backing for the bag - 14 1/2" x 30"
- Bacing for the bottom - 8 1/2" x 17"
- Colored cord (3-5mm diameter) - 146" long
- Barrel shaped wooden button (optional)
- Quilter's plastic sheet
