The Nouveau Hobo Bag Pattern is a large, lined handbag that comes in 2 different sizes with buttoning at the shoulder. This bag is easy to make and has an optional interior pocket. Finished height of bag (large) 16 7/8" (not including straps) and for the small bag is 11 1/8".
Materials Needed:
- Fabric requirement - LARGE BAG - 60" - 3/4 yd
- 44"/45" fabric 1 1/4 yd
- If you want to use contrasting fabric -
- Bag front & back - 5/8 yd
- Bag sides - 3/4 yd (this will supply sides and straps if desired)
- Bag straps - 1/2 yd (if using a separate fabric)
- Lining - 3/4 yd
- Interfacing - 1 5/8 yd or fusible fleece - 1 yd
- SMALL BAG - 60" 5/8 yd
- 44"/45" fabric - 1yd
- If you want to use contrasting fabric -
- Bag front & back - 1/2 yd (this will also supply straps if desired)
- Bag sides - 5/8 yd (will supply sides and straps if desired)
- Lining - 5/8 yd
- Interfacing - 1 1/2yd or
- Fusible fleece - 3/4 yd
