This is a pattern for making a purse from a pair of men's jeans. Pockets are reused on the outside for keys, glasses, and pen. Front closes with a buttonhole side of the waist band and a belt loop. Lining has pockets on each side. Strap is built into the body of the purse and buttons - it can be adjusted. Size is 12" wide by 10" high (body of the purse - does not include strap).
Materials Needed:
- 1 pair old jeans (men sizes will have more space, especially boot leg jeans)
- 3 jean buttons
- 1/2 yd lining (cotten or cotten blend will work well)
- 1/2 yd fusible interfacing
- Thread that matches the stitching in the jeans
- Razor blade or rotary point cutter for removing pocket and waistband from jeans.
