The Penny Purses pattern is a homespun handbag made of cotton velveteen.  Finished size is 8" x 12".

Materials Needed:

• 1/4 yd cotton velveteen for bag
• 1/4 yd cotton homespun for flap (enough for 2 flaps)
• 1/4 yd cotton fabric for lining (enough for 2 purses)
• 1 1/2 yd cording for each strap
• Approximately 30" of Fabric Cafe's Chenille-By-The-Inch
• Chenille brush (an extremely stiff bristled plast brush for fluffing chenille)
• Tear-away stabilizer
• Scraps of wool or felt for appliques and tabs
• Embroidery floss
