We've done our best to ensure the privacy and security of your transactions
with us. Your credit card number and other personal data will be
treated with the highest standards of safety, security features,
and confidentiality.
Secure Shopping:
Orders placed on our site are encrypted using SSL technology, so
rest assured that your transactions are protected. With SSL implemented
on both the client and server, information sent via the Internet
can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered to our server only.
In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL enabled browers.
Please note that email is not encrypted and is not considered a
secure means of transmitting credit card numbers. We recommnend
that you download either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator browsers which support secure transactions, if you are
not already using one.
2. Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Online:
At Henrietta's Handbags, we are committed to ensuring your privacy
as a customer. You can be confident that we do not sell or exchange
names, or any other information about our online customers with
third parties.
If you sign up for our email newsletter, you will be able to unsubscribe
simply by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the
newsletter.
3. Shipping Method and Delivery Information
For mailing packages, including handbags, pattern books, shoes,
and most handbag pattern kits, Henrietta's Handbags uses USPS Priority
Mail in the USA (delivery in 2 to 3 days). International orders
need to go to PursePatterns.com for fast shipping.
Tracking numbers will be sent via email for all packages shipped
via Priority Mail in the USA. Tracking numbers are not available
for shipments other than Priority Mail delivery in the USA.
Handbag Patterns are sent via First Class Mail in the USA; delivery
time varies from a few days to a week or more, depending on the
distance from North Carolina. For handbag patterns (not
DVD's), we offer FREE shipping in the USA and Canada.
Books will be shipped via USPS media mail, to USA addresses only.
Orders received by 8 P.M. EST are normally shipped the next business
day.
4. Guarantee and Return Policy
Guarantee and Return Policy: At Henrietta's Handbags, we
take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of all of our products.
It is very important to us that you are both happy and 100% satisfied
with any items purchased from us. Accordingly, if the product does
not meet your expectations upon arrival, you have 7 days to return
your unused merchandise for a prompt refund of the purchase price
of the item, including any NC state taxes paid, but excluding the
shipping fee. If you
paid by credit card, then your card will be credited when Henrietta's
Handbags has received and processed your return, typically, within
three business days. Credit card companies vary on the time it takes
for credit to appear on their customers' records. Please allow one
to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement.
Item(s) must be unused and in the same condition as received. All
returns should be returned to us by the same shipping method as
received - for USPS Priority Mail, please request delivery confirmation
(a tracking number will be provided). We will email you to inform
you that we have received the return, and that your refund has credited.
We will not refund items returned after 30 days.
5. Return Instructions
Please send an email to info@henriettashandbags.com to inform us
that you are returning an item or items. Please include your name
and invoice number. Pack the item in either the original or similar
box, and make sure to include the attached original product tags.

6. Payment Options
We accept MasterCard, VISA, and Discover credit cards,
PayPal and money orders. Personal checks will be accepted for USA
deliveries only. We do not accept C.O.D's. We also have an option
in our shopping cart for telephone orders, but this is for USA
customers only.
When paying by personal check, money order, or PayPal,
if payment is not received in two (2) weeks, your order will be
cancelled and the item returned to our inventory.
7. Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How Do I find the handbag or purse pattern I am looking for on
your site?
There are several ways to find what you are looking for but the search
engine located on the left above the navigation menu is the most
efficient. Simply put in the name and/or keywords of the product
you want in the text box and click "search".
Q. Do you sell wholesale?
No, Henrietta's Handbags does not sell wholesale at this time.
However, we do have a sister site at Wholesale Purse Patterns that has wholesale prices for fabric, crafting, and quilt stores. The minimum is only 10 patterns and shipping is free with a purchase of $100.00 or more in the USA.
Q. Why did I not receive my order in a timely manner?
Sometimes orders get delayed in the mail by the Postal Service. There
is no way to predict when or why this happens. If the domestic
order does not arrive within 3 weeks after it is due,
we will send out your order again. If you do eventually get your
original order in the mail, please notify us.
Q. Do all your patterns have full size pattern pieces
in them?
Not all handbag patterns have actual full size pattern pieces included.
If you have a specific question about any pattern, please e-mail
me at info@henriettashandbags.com and include the name of the pattern
you are interested in.
Q. Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax will be added to the purchase price only for delivery
to residents of the state of North Carolina.
Q. I did not receive confirmation of my order or when it will be shipped. Why not?
ALL orders are sent a confirmation of purchase and you will also
receive an e-mail when your product is shipped. Spam filters
may block receipt of your notification e-mails.
Q. How do I know how much shipping costs will be?
Shipping charges will be displayed during the checkout process
after you enter your delivery address, and prior to entering
your credit card information. Shipping charges are dependent
on the shipping weight of the items purchased. For handbag patterns
(not DVD's), we offer FREE shipping in the USA and Canada.
Where do your handbags come from?
Most of our handbags come from India or China. Bags on our site that are handmade are either listed on the "handmade" page or have the words "handmade" in the title or description.
Q. Can I sell the handbags that I make from the patterns
I purchase?
Pattern designers copyright the patterns,
and prohibit the designs from being used for commercial
purposes. The
patterns normally include a statement such as "...designs are
protected by Copyright. Patterns are for personal use
of the purchaser and bags must not be reproduced to gain profit." The
designer has created intellectual property (IP), and reserves
the right to license the design to manufacturers.
If you wanted to manufacture the design,
you would need to sign an agreement with the designer to share
the revenues. If you wish to sell handmade bags in limited
quantities, consider pattern books from Cindy
Taylor Oates (Taylor Made Designs, e.g. Purses,
Bags, & Totes,
Crafty Bags, Totes
with Zippers, and Slouchy
Bags Here is a quote from Cindy's
line of pattern books: "We
hope that you enjoy making the projects in this book and are
happy for you to give them as gifts or sell them in limited
quantities. However, any mechanical reproduction of the designs,
photographs, or instructions is strictly prohibited under federal
copyright laws."
Q. Do you ship internationally?
If you are an international customer, you will need to go to PursePatterns.com
International shipping for handbags is based on weight and will be reflected in the shopping cart.
All international shipments are subject to customs inspection and
assessment of duties, taxes, and fees in accordance with your country's
national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally,
if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above
the threshold set by your country's laws. Check the Worlds
Customs Organization Web site for general information, or visit
the web site of that country's customs service.
It is important to understand that, if duties and taxes are assessed
on an item, they are collected from the recipient. Shipping and
handling is charged to cover the cost of delivery only, and does
not include charges assessed by customs in the destination country.
For finished goods (handbags & shoes), PS form 2976 will be filled
out and attached to the outside of the package identifying the contents,
cost, and country of origin, per customs regulations.
We do not accept orders by telephone for international orders.
Q. What is the delivery time for international shipping?
We ship via United States Postal Service First Class Mail International. According to the USPS, delivery time varies. Our customers have provided feedback of delivery within 1 - 2 weeks typically; however, some deliveries are delayed several weeks. There are often unpredictable delays in some countries due to customs processing.
