The Emily Tote Bag Pattern is very practical for everyday use, has a Velcro fastener with the look of a button, and has a flat bottom. The shoulder straps are double, there is an outside pocket as well as pockets inside. This bag is easy to make, measures 12" x 12", and has a key tab on the front side of the bag.
Materials Needed:
- 1/2 yd of fabric for the front and back bag body
- 3/4 yd of fabric for bottom band, back pocket, inside pocket, and front and back tab closures
- 3/4 yd of fabric for bag handles, lining, key tab and decorative binding
- 2 - 1/2" fabric covered buttons
- 2" sew in Velcro
- 1 key chain circle
- 2 yds of light weight fusible interfacing for bag body, lining, shoulder straps and tab closures.
