The Super Tote bag pattern is a very versatile 15" x 15" tote bag that stores in it's own back pocket. This bag unfolds to 17" x 20" for larger loads and the crossover strap keeps it from slipping.
Materials Needed:
- 3/4 yd medium weight cotton fabric for bag & strap (in order for bag to fold up into pocket, fabric must not be too thick. Use fabrics such as cotton decor, homespuns, light weight canvas and duck. Thinner denims will work also)
- 1/3 yd contrast fabric for side gusset, top facing, button loops, & pocket
- 5 extra large buttons - 1" to 1 1/2" diameter (mix and match is fine)
- 9" piece of 1/4" wide elastic
- Scraps for fabric for flower applique if desired
