The Take It To Class Tote Bag pattern is roomy enough for all your class supplies plus there are instructions for padded shoulder straps. Outside pockets make your smaller items convenient and the bottom is stabilized.
Materials Needed:
- PATCHWORK VERSION:
- 14 `fat quarters
- 1 yd coordinating fabric
- Batting: 1 1/2 yds - 90" wide
- Backing: 2 yards muslin
- Velcro: 1/4 yd
- OR
- 2 FABRIC VERSION
- 2 1/2 yd bag fabric
- 2 1/2 yd lining fabric
- NOTIONS:
- 3 assorted buttons
- 2 - 18" x 5/8" dowels (decorative ends optional)
- 1 empty fabric bolt from your favorite quilt shop
- OTT LIGHT TOTE BAG:
- Tote fabric: 2/3 yd (20") square or 64 - 2 1/2" squares
- Lining fabric: 2/3 yd (20" square)
- Closure Tab Fabric: 1/4 yd or 2 pieces 8"x 4"
- Batting: 2/3 yard Hobb's Heirloom for tote and tab
- 2/3 yd thicker polyester for lining
- 1" piece of Velcro
- 1 large decorative button
