This simple style purse can change its look by simply changing its fabrics and/or its handles length. Create several moods by either using romantic vintage bark cloth or retro reproduction fabrics or even your classic cotton prints for a different look each time.
The purse measures 19" wide at the lower edge and 11" tall excluding handles and has a magnetic snap closure.
Materials Needed:
- 1/3 yd. fabric for bag body
- 1/3 yd. fabric for bag lining
- 1/2 yd. muslin for bag interfacing
- 1/8 yd. contrasting fabric for top band of bag
- 1/4 yd. contrasting fabric for handles
- 1/4 yd. (22" wide) fusible interfacing for handles (1/2 yd. for longer handles)
- 2" x 24" piece of Temtex interfacing for top band of bag (or other heavy interfacing)
- (1) magnetic snap closure
- Thread
- Optional trim - 3/4 yard of your choice
