This is a handy, dandy tote bag with 8 exterior and 6 interior pockets in 2 different sizes! The instructions are very clear and precise and these make great bags for baby, gym, school, and work. The finished sizes are 19" w x 12" h x 6" d for the full size tote and 17" w x 12" h x 5" d for the medium size tote.
Materials Needed:
- FABRIC: (44" wide) Choose 3 different fabrics. FULL SIZE - 7/8 yd for the front/back, 1 2/3 yd of a coordinating fabric for the interior lining/side pockets, 3/4 yd of a third coordinating fabric for the handle straps and top band.
- MEDIUM SIZE - 3/4 yd for the front/back, 1 1/2 yd of a coordinating fabric for the interior lining/side pockets, 2/3 yd of a third coordinating fabric for the handle straps/top band.
- Iron on interfacing: FULL SIZE - 1 3/4 yd MEDIUM SIZE - 1 2/3 yd
- Ribbon (optional) - For use as ties or bows on each side pocket - 2 yds of 1 1/2" wide organdy ribbon
- Tacky fabric glue
- Liquid seam sealant (Fray Check)
- 2" piece of 3/4" wide hook & loop fastener (Velcro)
- 18 1/2" x 22 1/2" sheet of stiff plastic needlepoint canvas.
