You can't go wrong with this fast, fun notebook cover and tote. Instructions are given for various sizes notebooks, as well as, an 8 1/2" x 11" notebook cover.
Make it scrappy or make it with your favorite colors. Raid the button bin at your favorite quilt store or add your own embellishments. Tote bag is 15" x 18" and full instructions are given.
Materials Needed:
- TOTE (15" x 18") - White muslin - 1/2 yd
- White fabric - 1 fat quarter (white stripe)
- Bag lining - 1/2 yd your choice of color
- Coordinating fabric - 1/4 yd (handles & binding)
- Scrap strips - 2" x 18" (use as many as you like - the photo shows 22 strips - For fabric choose 7-9 fat quarters)
- Buttons or beads to accent fabric
- Cotton batting - 2/3 yd
- SCRAPBOOK COVER (12" x 14") - Background fabric - 1 yd
- White muslin - 1/2 yd
- Scrap strips - 2" x 18" (Photo shows 16 strips but you can use and many or as few as you like. If you buy the fabric, choose 7-9 fat quarters)
- Buttons or beads
- Cotton batting - 2/3 yd
- Two sided tape
