Luscious wool mades this handbag unique! 4 squares are used for this bag and you can create texture by needle felting a mixture of fiber and yarns. Also, you can applique or embroider your bag.
Materials Needed:
- NEEDLE FELTED BAG - 2 fat quarters hand dyed wool (25 1/2" x 16") OR 1 fat quarter for the tote plus 8" x 27" coordinating wool for binding and handles
- 1/2 yd cotton canvas or cotton drill
- 1/2 yd lining (quilted cotton)
- Optional inner pockets & pocket lining: 2 fat quarters quilting cotton 1/4" strip of paper backed fusible webbing (27" long)
- For needle felting: Clover felting needle tool & felting needle mat & wool roving and assorted yarns & fibers
- APPLIQUED FLOWER BAG - One folded bundle Marcus Bros hand dyed wool SR5 (9" x 27" pieces)
- 1/2 yd cotton canvas or cotton drill
- 1/2 yd lining (quilting cotton)
- Optional pockets: 1 or 2 fat quarters of coordinating quilting cotton
- Embroidery: 4 mm rose silk ribbon, orange machine embroidery thread, gold size #5 perle cotton
